Singing Classes

• Students are required to bring their own A4 display folder, small notebook and water bottle.
• OPTIONAL: laptop, ipad/tablet or phone.
• The Academy provides microphones and backing tracks.
• Our singing teacher will advise of any additional resources required for lessons.

Class Duration

• Individual Classes are 30 minutes (60 minute classes also available

Class Times

• Monday 3:30pm to 8:30pm.
• (Term 1 – 2024) Wednesday classes will be available to book.

Singing lessons are customized to suit the unique needs of each individual student. Given the inherent diversity in voices, each student’s journey requires a different approach. These lessons are designed to skillfully lead the student towards safe and effective ways to use their voice, working on vocal technique, musicality and performance skills. 

First Session (Trial Lesson)
The first singing lesson serves as an initial vocal assessment and meet and greet, helping the teacher understand the student’s starting point in their vocal journey. It takes place in a nurturing and enjoyable environment, fostering a sense of exploration. 

• Students are requested to bring a song they enjoy to listen to or sing, facilitating a brief workshop to assess their abilities as a starting point. 
• For those with more singing experience, a repertoire book is welcomed.

The Academy understand and respect that students today have an array of extra-curricular activities available to them and believe their choice to learn a musical instrument will be very rewarding and provide them with skills they can transfer to other areas of academic excellence. In order for students to maximise the most of their music studies our teachers make it a priority to inform students on time management skills and instruct students on how to practice correctly and effectively.

Our aim is to create a culture of self-motivated learning so students can continue learning music long after their journey at the Music Education Academy is complete.
