My Story

Joshua Jose - Piano Teacher

Joshua Jose began his musical journey at the age of nine with the piano and quickly became a dedicated performer, playing at various school and community events. He was an active member of his school music band and continues to share his passion for music in meaningful ways. Now pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Artificial Intelligence in Australia, Joshua also serves as a pianist in his church choir, regularly leading worship and playing keys for major church events. His blend of musical skill and creative expression makes him a standout both on stage and behind the scenes.

Rohan Jacobs - Piano & Guitar Teacher

Rohan began learning the piano at the age of 6 at the Music Education Academy and completed all of the Australian Music Examination Board (AMEB) piano examination grades. Rohan has Completed an Advanced Diploma of Music - Sound Production at Victoria University Polytechnic and is currently completing Music Degree in Composition at Monash University. Rohan is excited to be now sharing his love and passion for learning and playing the piano with the next generation of music students at the Music Education Academy.

Olivia Capitanio - Junior Piano Teacher

Olivia is currently studying a degree in Pharmaceutical Science at Monash University. Olivia began learning piano and violin at the age three. Olivia hopes to share her knowledge of music to her students, helping them reach their full potential whilst also creating a fun and memorable experience. Olivia also undertakes formal Ballet studies. She enjoys dancing, creative arts and spending time with her Labrador.

John Alexander - Guitar & Piano Teacher

John is currently pursuing a Degree in Contemporary Performance, majoring in Guitar with a specialization in Jazz and Blues, at The Australian Institute of Music. His musical journey began at age 6 with piano, and by 14, he had expanded his repertoire to include guitar and violin. John's passion for music extends to the saxophone, drums, bass guitar, and singing. He is dedicated to sharing his love for music with students at MusicEA, believing in its power to enrich children’s lives. A multifaceted musician, John has been sharing his talents with his local church community from a young age and firmly believes that it’s never too late to start learning a musical instrument.

Alexia Uebergang - Violin Teacher

Alexia Uebergang began her musical journey at just three years old and is now preparing for her AMEB Grade 8 Violin exam. With nearly 15 years of experience, she is currently in Year 12 VCE and auditioning for the University of Melbourne’s prestigious music program. A passionate performer, Alexia plays with the Melbourne Chamber Strings on weekends and brings her love for music into every lesson—making learning both fun and inspiring through engaging, educational repertoire.

Erin Mannix - Vocal Coach/Teacher

Erin Mannix is a highly trained singer with a rich background in musical education and performance. Holding an Advanced British Diploma of Musical Theatre with Associated Studios. Erin has completed intensive acting and musical Theatre training with Patrick School of the Arts, Justin Lehmann Studio, APO Arts Academy and NIDA Australia.
Erin has worked and studied with renowned voice coaches in Australia and London. Her diverse vocal methodologies, a combination of classical and contemporary voice training has equipped her to teach various genres, particularly excelling in contemporary styles. With over a decade of performance experience, Erin offers students a comprehensive and fun approach to singing training.

Dominic Carpenter - Piano & Guitar Teacher

Dominic Carpenter began learning piano at the age of three and has been immersed in music ever since. After achieving his AMusA in classical piano, he shifted his focus to his true passion—jazz and improvisation. Dom is currently studying a Bachelor of Music at the University of Melbourne, majoring in Jazz and Improvisation, and is an active presence in Melbourne’s vibrant jazz scene. A multi-instrumentalist and creative at heart, he also enjoys playing bass guitar and producing beats in his spare time, constantly exploring new ways to push musical boundaries.

Aashriya Nandivada - Violin Teacher

Aashriya embarked on her musical journey at the age of 4, and currently delving into her pursuit of AMusA AMEB. With a passion deeply rooted in Indian classical music, she has honed her skills as both a vocalist and harmonium virtuoso, captivating audiences across various community events. Her musical prowess extends to prestigious chamber and orchestra ensembles within her school's vibrant music scene, earning her coveted spots at the esteemed Melbourne Recital Centre. Beyond her musical pursuits, Aashriya finds fulfilment in volunteering.

Mia Penyalow - Junior Piano Teacher

Mia Penyalow began playing piano at the age of four and recently completed her final AMEB Grade 8 exam. A dedicated student at the Music Education Academy, Mia is passionate about her craft and plans to pursue music composition at a tertiary level after high school. Outside of music, she’s also a competitive tennis player, taking part in weekly Saturday competitions. It’s great to see Mia now giving back to the music education community—sharing her love for music and inspiring the next generation of young musicians. Whether she’s performing, composing, or teaching, Mia brings passion, focus, and joy to all she does.

Kristine Marasigan - Piano Teacher

Kristine is studying Bachelor of Science at Monash University, Kristine started learning piano at the age of 3 with Lorenzo at the MusicEA. Kristine is excited to share her love of music with students, aspiring to ignite within them the same fervour she feels for the art form. Kristine is also an accomplished vocalists, seasoned karate instructor, and enjoy working with young children sharing her passion for music and karate.

Kathrine Marasigan - Piano Teacher

Kathrine embarked on her musical journey at just four years old under the direction of Lorenzo at the MusicEA. Kathrine is currently undertaking year 12 VCE and preparing for her Grade 8 AMEB piano exam and s an active member of YABC musical theatre school. Kathrine is dedicated to inspiring the next generation of MusicEA piano students unleash their creativity and passion for learning music.

Veronica Kaszkiel - Piano & Violin Teacher

Veronica began learning violin at the age of 3 and piano at 5 at the MusicEA. Veronica as completed her AMEB Grade 8 in violin and is currently preparing for AMEB Grade 8 in piano. Veronica has developed a deep passion for music throughout her life. Alongside music, Veronica has dedicated herself to ballet and dance for 12 years, embracing the artistry of performing and its discipline. Honing her skills over the years, She is eager to share her love for the arts, inspiring others to discover the joy of music.

Sandy Nguyen - Junior Piano Teacher

Sandy is a passionate and multi-talented student currently completing her VCE studies. A dedicated martial artist, she trains in karate with discipline and focus. Outside the dojo and classroom, Sandy finds joy in creativity—whether she's painting or making music. She's currently preparing for her Grade 6 AMEB piano exam and loves sharing her musical journey with young students at the Music Education Academy. Her enthusiasm for learning and teaching makes her a vibrant part of every community she joins.

Aiden Clare - Piano Teacher

Aiden is currently in his fourth year pursuing a Bachelor of Science with a major in Applied Mathematics at the University of Melbourne. His musical journey began at the age of 7 when he first started learning the piano at MusicEA. Aiden finds immense joy in listening to music, particularly favouring the indie rock genre. Aiden’s academic rigour and artistic appreciation paints a vibrant picture of Aiden's diverse interests and talents.
